Industry questions
Which laws apply to my organization?
It depends on where you operate and what sector you are in. In Ontario, the AODA sets web accessibility requirements for the public sector and many private organizations. The Accessible Canada Act covers federally regulated sectors such as banking, telecommunications and transportation. In the U.S., the ADA and Section 508 are the main frameworks. Compliable maps scan findings to each of these so you can see which obligations an issue relates to. For legal advice about your situation, speak with a lawyer.
What does a Compliable scan check?
Compliable renders your pages in a real headless Chrome browser on desktop and mobile and tests them with the open-source axe-core engine (v4.11.1). Results include a score and a report mapped to WCAG, the AODA, the Accessible Canada Act, the ADA and Section 508.
Can a scan find every accessibility issue?
No. Automated scanning detects only part of all barriers. Complex features like checkout flows, booking systems and patient portals also need manual review and testing with people who use assistive technology. We offer expert audits and user testing for that.

In July 2026 Compliable ran what is, to our knowledge, the first census-scale measurement of Ontario public-sector websites: 7,485 page scans across 1,045 organizations. At least 89.4% of the 884 AODA-bound organizations show at least one detectable WCAG 2.0 Level AA violation.
